After launching a comprehensive Manual for self-medication in 2018, the Croatian Association of the Self-Medication Industry (CASI) has now presented the first Croatian "Manual for the use of nutritional supplements".

A professional "Manual for the use of nutritional supplements" was presented in Zagreb. With this manual, the publishers want to improve consultation on the application of nutritional supplements, help answer users' daily inquiries, provide the latest professional information and ensure their correct use.

The manual is intented for pharmacists, technicians and all healthcare professionals who, in their work, recommend nutritional supplements for the purpose of preserving health and preventing disease. The publisher of the manual is the Croatian Association of the Self-Medication Industry (CASI). The team of experts who contributed to the creation of the manual was led by Mirna Radošević, head of the Committee of the Croatian Association of the Self-Medication Industry and advisor for development and innovation of Salveo CEE.

"Five years ago, we presented a comprehensive Manual for self-medication with the aim of improving the quality of advice given to the patients by today's and future pharmacists. Today, two thirds of pharmacists use this manual in their practice, and more than 20 percent of them use it on a weekly basis. More than 95 percent of pharmacists say that the manual is useful for patient counseling, personal education and knowledge renewal. These figures tell us that the manual is really useful and we look forward to seeing what role will the new manual play".
